Carla is Back Home

Carla and Ann had a blessed time with their hosts in Dallas, Dr. and Mrs. Otte, enjoying the conversations, Dr. Otte’s cooking, and Mrs. Otte’s intense research into genealogies! Lawrence and Faith, family friends, also helped out in a huge way, helping them get buddy passes to fly going and coming. It was a super busy time with a lot of folks traveling home from spring break, but God protected both sisters. They flew together to Atlanta, then split up as seats became available. Ann ended up spending the night down in Atlana, but fortunately, both Carla and Ann are with their families again.

Carla and her family will be discussing the advice from the various doctors they’ve been working with in Indianapolis and MD Anderson. Please pray that the Lord will guide their decisions and give them peace.

We love you, and pray that you are enjoying the new life made possible through Christ Jesus!

  1. Carla has been on the move. She went to North Carolina to see friends she hadn’t seen in years and then Missouri and got to hold her grand-nephew and then to Indiana to take a nephew to Purdue basketball camp and now back home for a bit. She helped me in the lab on Monday. Oh, what fun it was to have here there!! She is a treasure.

As far as her health she is fighting this stinking cancer. She is on low-dose chemotherapy and she says her leg seems about 80% normal. She has a little difficulty going up stairs but nothing to what she was experiencing in March. Oh, Praise You, LORD for giving her strength back. Her hair has begun to come out but the chemo doctor told her that was good – it shows the chemo is affecting growing cells – hopefully the growing cancer is being affected, too.

THANKS for your prayers. She is being used by the LORD to minister to many along the way. It is fun to get to see what all she is doing. Her company that she had worked for gave her a new pool lining – no kidding- it is great. Their pool was on its last leg. Now it is beautiful!! Praise You, LORD for your amazing surprises!
